"When faced with this assignment, I realized that not one icon of Canada fully encompasses the vastness and diversity of the country; thusly, I chose to highlight various aspects of the geography and wildlife across Canada. When looking at the landscape from left to right, we have the rugged west coast of Canada, with its tall robust coniferous trees and deep cold Pacific waters. From there, we have the mountainous Canadian Rockies which make the back line-up of the artwork. This transitions into the plains of the county… rich with agriculture like wheat, soybeans, corn and livestock. Moving right, we venture to the eastern side of Canada, abundant with lakes, broad leafed trees and prolific fishing. Interspersed between these elements from the landscape of Canada, we have wildlife like an orca whale, a bird of prey, a beaver and an elk."
