Distance Education Information
The UVic Bookstore strives to process and ship your orders as soon as possible. We ship out course materials for many departments. Each department offers 4 to 16 courses and each course has an enrollment of 7 to 150 students. We process and ship course materials for approximately 2,000 students per term.
If you wish to shop in person, distance education textbooks are on the shelves (by course) in the Bookstore. Bring your DE order form with you to confirm that you are picking up the correct material. Please do not hesitate to ask at the textbook information desk if you are having trouble finding what you need.

NOTE: Departmental Course material order forms are no longer accepted. If you are paying with a cheque please contact the Distance Education Coordinator to confirm total costs including shipping before it is mailed out. Doing this will prevent delay in processing and shipping your order.
All Departments attempt to have their material available in the Bookstore well in advance of the start of classes. We have set stringent deadlines to ensure your requirements are accommodated.
Our objective is for you to receive your material within 3 working days (no weekend deliveries) once your complete order form has been received at the Bookstore, and all material is available. During our peak period, 2 weeks prior to the beginning of class and one week after, our turnaround time is 5 - 7 working days. To avoid delays, PLEASE SEND US YOUR ORDER FORM(S) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
