| Textbook Buying Tips |
- Avoid line-ups by shopping early or late in the day. We’re open 8:30am - 7pm most days in early September. Check for specific dates and times.
- Don’t buy first year English textbooks until you go to the first class.
- Paying with cash, debit or gift cards are the fastest – all cheques must be authorized at the Information Desk before you shop.
- Keep your receipts! They are essential if you need to return something. Make sure you are aware of the return deadline.
- Booklists are available in-store or customize your own from the Textbooks Online Service. Print it off and bring it with you to save time.
- Used textbooks cost 25% less than new textbooks. Both are shelved together.
- At the end of term, check our online buyback list. You may be able to sell your books back to us for cash on your debit or credit card.
- Everything you want to know and more is on our website - www.uvicbookstore.ca

The Bookstore is open a little later during the first two weeks of school. Avoid the crowds the first two weeks of classes, but if you do shop during the "rush" period, try to come during the first or last hour of the day. See our complete schedule.
